About Me

My name is John Skoumbourdis (known as Johnny Skoumbourdis) and I work as a web-developer . In the web I know everything that is needed in order to create a professional website: PHP (having very good knowledge about Zend Framework but I especially work with Codeigniter Framework for small websites), C# (working with .NET framework and visual studio), JavaScript (ajax,json,xml) and of course working with jquery Framework. In addition, I work with CSS and HTML (knowledge of xhtml and html5) and I create great Web Applications and Websites. I also have very good knowledge of XML, web services, flash and lot of other web technologies to create a website … I even design websites in Photoshop.

My mission is to create beautiful and professional websites and helping other people to do it so by sharing this knowledge.

  • Leading a team of developers responsible for a back-end system built primarily for data collection from the clients of the Company.
  • Steering Agile/Scrum driven process: daily scrums, code reviews, sprint planning, etc.
  • Responsible of development, staging, QA and production environment servers.
  • Making high level system architecture decisions , defining coding rules, writing documentation, optimizing performance issues, extending MVC framework to fit new needs.

For the development I am working with: OO PHP and Zend Framework, JavaScript, Apache, MySQL, Nginx and Linux bash commands. I have a good feel of app/user interaction and interface issues and I develop having the end user’s experience always in mind by using advanced HTML 5 and CSS 3 techniques.
